2010 The Minister of Fisheries and Oceans has requested that the Fisheries Resource Conservation Council (FRCC) develop a long-term strategic approach to the sustainability of the Atlantic Groundfish fisheries and the conservation of the resource. During the months of April and May, the FRCC will hold public consultations to gather information and input from stakeholders. Letter to Stakeholders 2009 The FRCC released today to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, its strategic conservation framework for Atlantic herring entitled Fishing into the Future: The herring Fishery in eastern Canada. Press release 2008 In January the Minister for Fisheries and Oceans Canada asked the Fisheries Resource Conservation Council (FRCC, Council) to develop a Sustainability Framework for the Atlantic Herring Fishery. During the months of March and April the FRCC will hold a series of consultations with stakeholders across the Atlantic Provinces and Québec.
