The Fisheries Resource Conservation Council (FRCC) will hold public consultations to gather information from stakeholders on northern cod stocks (2J3KL) and on groundfish stocks in the Gulf of St. Lawrence. This information will assist the Council in making recommendations on conservation requirements for the coming year to the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans.

FRCC teams will hold consultations in the following locations:

Gulf of St. Lawrence:

• March 3: Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia at the Nautical College
• March 3: Moncton, New Brunswick at the Delta Beauséjour Hotel
• March 4: Iles de la madeleine, Québec at the Auberge Madeli
• March 5: Gaspé, Québec at the Quality Inn
• March 6: Blanc Sablon, Québec at the Town Hall
• March 7: Cow Head, Newfoundland & Labrador at the Shallow Bay Motel
• March 8: Port-aux-Basques, Newfoundland & Labrador at St. Christopher's Hotel

Northern Cod (2J3KL):

• March 3: Grand Falls - Windsor, Newfoundland & Labrador at the Queen Street Legion
• March 4: Clarenville, Newfoundland & Labrador at the Winter Games Complex
• March 5: St. John's, Newfoundland & Labrador at the Airport Plaza Hotel

All meetings will start at 9:00 AM, with the exception of the meeting in Moncton, which will begin at 4:00 PM.

Stakeholders and media are invited to attend.
